Lunzen Thai was born in Malaysia (1965) and started to paint when he was only eight years old and sold his first painting before he was fourteen years old. Although Lunzen, for the most part, taught himself, he was influenced by Beihong, Chang, Ta-Chien, and Xu, and western artists Chagall, Matisse, Modigliani, and Picasso. He studied at distinguished schools in Hong Kong, Toronto, Kansas, and San Francisco. His style is a combination of contemporary and classical, but with his own spin of Euro-Asian style.
